A vulnerability was found in Netscape Enterprise Server 3.5/3.6 on Solaris (Web Server). It has been declared as critical. Netscape Enterprise Server with Web Publishing enabled allows remote attackers to list arbitrary directories via a GET request for the /publisher directory, which provides a Java applet that allows the attacker to browse the directories.
The weakness was presented 03/11/2000 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2000-0237. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
