A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in PrestaShop 1.7.6.0/1.7.6.1/1.7.6.2/1.7.6.3/1.7.6.4 (E-Commerce Management Software). This affects an unknown function. The manipulation of the argument back as part of a Credentials leads to a redirect vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. In PrestaShop between versions 1.7.6.0 and 1.7.6.5, there is an open redirection when using back parameter. The impacts can be many, and vary from the theft of information and credentials to the redirection to malicious websites containing attacker-controlled content, which in some cases even cause XSS attacks. So even though an open redirection might sound harmless at first, the impacts of it can be severe should it be exploitable. The problem is fixed in 1.7.6.5
