A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in GNU Emacs up to 20.6 (Word Processing Software). This affects some unknown functionality of the component Slave PTY Device Handler. Emacs 20 does not properly set permissions for a slave PTY device when starting a new subprocess, which allows local users to read or modify communications between Emacs and the subprocess.
