The web GUI for the Linux Virtual Server (LVS) software in the Red Hat Linux Piranha package has a backdoor password that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands.
The issue has been introduced in 04/03/2000. The weakness was shared 04/24/2000 as not defined advisory (X-Force). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability was named CVE-2000-0248. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
