A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Microsoft Windows up to 2000 SP3 (Operating System). This issue affects an unknown functionality in the library Cryptnet.DLL of the component LDAP. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-401. The product does not sufficiently track and release allocated memory after it has been used, which slowly consumes remaining memory. Impacted is availability.
