A vulnerability classified as critical was found in UltraScripts UltraBoard 1.6 (Forum Software). Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the file ultraboard.pl. UltraBoard.pl or UltraBoard.cgi CGI scripts in UltraBoard 1.6 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a pathname string that includes a dot dot (..) and ends with a null byte.
The weakness was disclosed 05/03/2000 by rudi carell (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2000-0332. The exploitation appears to be easy.
