A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Matt Kruse Calendar Script 2.2 (Calendar Software). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file calender.pl. The manipulation as part of a Metacharacter leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. The calender.pl and the calendar_admin.pl calendar scripts by Matt Kruse allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters.
The weakness was presented 05/16/2000 by FIRST as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at archives.neohapsis.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2000-0432. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
