A vulnerability was found in HP JetAdmin 6.0. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The web interface server in HP Web JetAdmin 5.6 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) attack.
The bug was discovered 05/24/2000. The weakness was disclosed 05/24/2000 by Ussr Labs (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at archives.neohapsis.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2000-0443. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
