NeDi 1.9C is vulnerable to Remote Command Execution. System-Snapshot.php improperly escapes shell metacharacters from a POST request. An attacker can exploit this by crafting an arbitrary payload (any system commands) that contains shell metacharacters via a POST request with a psw parameter. (This can also be exploited via CSRF.)
The weakness was disclosed 06/29/2020. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2020-14412 since 06/18/2020. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1202 for this issue.
