A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Microsoft IIS 4.0/5.0 (Web Server). Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the component Request Handler. The manipulation with the input value +.htr leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. IIS 4.0 and 5.0 allows remote attackers to obtain fragments of source code by appending a +.htr to the URL, a variant of the "File Fragment Reading via .HTR" vulnerability.
