A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator up to 9.4. This issue affects an unknown function of the component Web API. The manipulation as part of a API Request leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) versions 9.4 and prior contain multiple path traversal vulnerabilities. An unauthenticated remote attacker could potentially exploit these vulnerabilities by sending a crafted Web API request containing directory traversal character sequences to gain file system access on the compromised management station.
