A vulnerability was found in Allaire JRun 2.3.x. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects the function com.livesoftware.jrun.plugins.jsp of the component JSP Servlet. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Allaire JRun 2.3.3 server allows remote attackers to compile and execute JSP code by inserting it via a cross-site scripting (CSS) attack and directly calling the com.livesoftware.jrun.plugins.JSP JSP servlet.
