A misconfiguration in IIS 5.0 with Index Server enabled and the Index property set allows remote attackers to list directories in the web root via a Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) search.

The issue has been introduced in 02/17/2000. The weakness was disclosed 12/19/2000 by David Litchfield with @stake (Website). The advisory is available at atstake.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2000-0951. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
