A vulnerability was found in XFree86 X11r6 up to 3.3.6 and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown part in the library xlib. The manipulation of the argument DISPLAY as part of a Environment Variable leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Buffer overflow in xlib in XFree 3.3.x possibly allows local users to execute arbitrary commands via a long DISPLAY environment variable or a -display command line parameter.
