A vulnerability was found in bootstrap-select up to 1.13.5 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the component OPTION Element Handler. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. bootstrap-select before 1.13.6 allows Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). It does not escape title values in OPTION elements. This may allow attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in a victim's browser.
The weakness was presented 09/30/2020 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2019-20921 since 09/30/2020.
