BEA Systems WebLogic Express and WebLogic Server 5.1 SP1-SP6 allows remote attackers to bypass access controls for restricted JSP or servlet pages via a URL with multiple / (forward slash) characters before the restricted pages.

The weakness was presented 12/31/2000 by BEA Systems with BEA Systems (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2000-1238 since 11/16/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
