Details
A vulnerability was found in W3.org Anaya Server (unknown version) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file sendtemp.pl. The manipulation of the argument template with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:
Directory traversal vulnerability in sendtemp.pl in W3.org Anaya Web development server allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) attack in the templ parameter.
