A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Jarle Aase WarFTPd 1.67.04 (File Transfer Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the component FTP Command Handler. The manipulation of the argument dir with the input value *./../..* leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in War FTP 1.67.04 allows remote attackers to list directory contents and possibly read files via a "dir *./../.." command.
