FTP service in IIS 5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to enumerate Guest accounts in trusted domains by preceding the username with a special sequence of characters.
The weakness was disclosed 06/27/2001 with Microsoft as MS01-026 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2001-0335. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
