A vulnerability has been found in Microsoft Exchange 2000/5.5 (Groupware Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the component Outlook Web Access. An interaction between the Outlook Web Access (OWA) service in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server and Internet Explorer allows attackers to execute malicious script code against a user s mailbox via a message attachment that contains HTML code, which is executed automatically.
The weakness was published 07/21/2001 by Joao Gouveia with Microsoft as MS01-030 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com.
