A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Sendmail 8.9.3 on SCO OpenServer (Mail Server Software). Affected is an unknown function. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. sendmail 8.9.3, as included with the MMDF 2.43.3b package in SCO OpenServer 5.0.6, can allow a local attacker to gain additional privileges via a buffer overflow in the first argument to the command.
