Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, was found in Francisco Burzi PHP-Nuke 5.0/5.0.1 (Content Management System). Affected is some unknown functionality of the file mainfile.php. The manipulation of the argument prefix with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
PHP-Nuke 5.x allows remote attackers to perform arbitrary SQL operations by modifying the "prefix" variable when calling any scripts that do not already define the prefix variable (e.g., by including mainfile.php), such as article.php.
