A vulnerability was found in NetWin SurgeFTP 1.0b/2.0a. It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code. The manipulation of the argument nlist with the input value ... leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
