A vulnerability was found in Steve Poulsen GuildFTPd 0.9.7 (File Transfer Software). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the component Command Handler. The manipulation of the argument LS/GET with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
