A vulnerability was found in Activestate Activeperl 5.6.1.629 (Programming Language Software). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing in the library perlis.dll of the component HTTP Request Encoding Handler. The manipulation with the input value <filename>.pl leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-119. Buffer overflow in PerlIS.dll in Activestate ActivePerl 5.6.1.629 and earlier allows remote attackers to exute arbitrary code via an HTTP request for a long filename that ends in a .pl extension.
