Lotus Domino Web Server 5.x allows remote attackers to gain sensitive information by accessing the default navigator $defaultNav via (1) URL encoding the request, or (2) directly requesting the ReplicaID.
The weakness was published 12/06/2001 by David Litchfield as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at marc.theaimsgroup.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2001-0847. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
