A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Namazu 2.0.9. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the component Error Message Handler. The manipulation of the argument idxname with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting vulnerability in Namazu 2.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Javascript as other web users via an error message that is returned when an invalid index file is specified in the idxname parameter.
