Lotus Domino server 5.0.9a and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass security restrictions and view Notes database files and possibly sensitive Notes template files (.ntf) via an HTTP request with a large number of "+" characters before the .nsf file extension, which are converted to spaces by Domino.

The weakness was released 12/31/2001 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2001-1567 since 07/14/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
