Buffer overflow in the LDAP naming services library (libsldap) in Sun Solaris 8 allows local users to execute arbitrary code via a long LDAP_OPTIONS environment variable to a privileged program that uses libsldap.
The bug was discovered 06/26/2001. The weakness was released 12/31/2001 (Website). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2001-1582 since 09/23/2007.
