A vulnerability was found in Funsoft Dinos Webserver up to 1.2 (Web Server). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the component URL Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. Directory traversal vulnerability in Funsoft Dino s Webserver 1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read files or execute arbitrary commands via a .. (dot dot) in the URL.

The bug was discovered 01/09/2002. The weakness was presented 03/25/2002 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at marc.theaimsgroup.com.
