A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in MDG 4D Webserver 3.5.3 (Web Server). This affects an unknown part of the component URL Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. MDG Computer Services Web Server 4D/eCommerce 3.5.3 allows remote attackers to exploit directory traversal vulnerability via a ../ (dot dot) containing URL-encoded slashes in the HTTP request.
