A vulnerability was found in Cyberstop Web Server 0.1 (Web Server). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component GET Request Handler. Cyberstop Web Server for Windows 0.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long HTTP GET request, possibly triggering a buffer overflow.
The weakness was disclosed 05/16/2002 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.theaimsgroup.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2002-0201. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
