A vulnerability was found in Cooolsoft PowerFTP 2.03/2.10. It has been rated as critical. PowerFTP Personal FTP Server 2.03 through 2.10 stores sensitive account information in plaintext in the ftpserver.ini file, which allows attackers with access to the file to gain privileges.
The weakness was presented 05/29/2002 by Strumpf Noir Society (Website). The advisory is shared for download at marc.info. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2002-0264.
