A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in FFmpeg 4.2.1 (Multimedia Processing Software). This issue affects the function gaussian_blur of the file libavfilter/vf_edgedetect.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a buffer overflow vulnerability. The product copies an input buffer to an output buffer without verifying that the size of the input buffer is less than the size of the output buffer, leading to a buffer overflow.
