A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Fasttrack P2P (Peer-to-Peer Software) (affected version not known). Affected is some unknown functionality of the component Message Header Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a authentication spoofing vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-290. This attack-focused weakness is caused by incorrectly implemented authentication schemes that are subject to spoofing attacks. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
fasttrack p2p, as used in (1) KaZaA, (2) grokster, and (3) morpheus allows remote attackers to spoof other users by modifying the username and network information in the message header.
