Bitvise WinSSHD before 2002-03-16 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (resource exhaustion) via a large number of incomplete connections that are not properly terminated, which are not properly freed by SSHd.
The weakness was released 08/12/2002 by SecuriTeam with SecuriTeam.com (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2002-0460. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
