A vulnerability was found in vqSoft vqServer 1.9/1.9.30/1.9.47/1.9.55 and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code of the file respond.pl of the component Demo Scripts. Cross-site scripting vulnerability in demonstration scripts for vqServer allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary script via a link that contains the script in arguments to demo scripts such as respond.pl.
The weakness was disclosed 08/12/2002 by Matthew Murphy (mattmurphy) (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2002-0731. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 10354 , which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
