Summary

Details
A vulnerability was found in Doctrine DBAL up to 3.1.3. It has been classified as critical. This affects the function AbstractPlatform::modifyLimitQuery of the component LIMIT Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was disclosed 12/09/2021 as GHSA-r7cj-8hjg-x622. The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2021-43608 since 11/12/2021. Upgrading to version 3.1.4 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at doctrine-project.org. Applying the patch 9dcfa4cb6c03250b78a84737ba7ceb82f4b7ba4d is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at github.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
