A vulnerability was found in PGP Address up to 0.2. It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the file globals.php. The manipulation of the argument LangCookie with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-269. globals.php in PHP Address before 0.2f, with the PHP allow_url_fopen and register_globals variables enabled, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL to the code in the LangCookie parameter.
The bug was discovered 06/17/2002. The weakness was shared 10/04/2002 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2002-0953. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
