Cross-site scripting vulnerability in the default HTTP 500 error script (500error.jsp) for Macromedia Sitespring 1.2.0 (277.1) allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web script via a link to 500error.jsp with the script in 1the et parameter.

The weakness was released 10/04/2002 by Peter Gründl (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2002-1027. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
