Buffer overflow in backup utility of Microsoft Windows 95 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by causing a filename with a long extension to be placed in a folder to be backed up.
The issue has been introduced in 08/24/1995. The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2002 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2002-1692.
