The upload function in PHPProjekt 2.0 through 3.1 does not properly verify certain variables related to uploaded data, which allows remote attackers to cause PHPProjekt to process arbitrary files.
The bug was discovered 04/24/2002. The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2002 by Ulf Harnhammar (Website). The advisory is available at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-1759 since 06/21/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
