A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Site Server up to 3.0 SP3. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown functionality. Microsoft Site Server 3.0 prior to SP4 installs a default user, LDAP_Anonymous, with a default password of LdapPassword_1, which allows remote attackers the "Log on locally" privilege.
The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2002 with Microsoft (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2002-1769 since 06/21/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
