A vulnerability was found in Htdig 3.1.5/3.1.6/3.2.0/3.2.0b3 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the file htsearch.cgi. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in htsearch.cgi in htdig (ht://Dig) 3.1.5, 3.1.6, and 3.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the words parameter.
The bug was discovered 06/26/2002. The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2002 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2002-2010 since 07/14/2005. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
