A vulnerability was found in Simple File List Plugin up to 3.2.7 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file ~/includes/ee-downloader.php. The manipulation of the argument eeFile with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. The Simple File List WordPress plugin is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Download via the eeFile parameter found in the ~/includes/ee-downloader.php file due to missing controls which makes it possible unauthenticated attackers to supply a path to a file that will subsequently be downloaded, in versions up to and including 3.2.7.
