Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in AN HTTP 1.41d allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a colon (:) in the query string, which is inserted into the resulting error page.
The weakness was published 12/31/2002 by Keigo Yamazaki (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cert.uni-stuttgart.de. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-2378 since 10/31/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
