A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in National University Of Singapore uxterm 2.3/2.4.1 (Windowing System Software). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component Windows Title Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. The uxterm terminal emulator allows attackers to modify the window title via a certain character escape sequence and then insert it back to the command line in the user s terminal, e.g. when the user views a file containing the malicious sequence, which could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands.
