A vulnerability was found in LBL Tcpdump 3.5.2/3.6.2/3.7/3.7.1 (Packet Analyzer Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function isakmp_sub_print of the component ISAKMP Dissector. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a infinite loop vulnerability. isakmp_sub_print in tcpdump 3.6 through 3.7.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a certain malformed ISAKMP packet to UDP port 500, which causes tcpdump to enter an infinite loop.
