A vulnerability was found in BEA WebLogic Server 7.0 (Application Server Software) and classified as problematic. BEA WebLogic Server and Express 7.0 and 7.0.0.1, when using "memory" session persistence for web applications, does not clear authentication information when a web application is redeployed, which could allow users of that application to gain access without having to re-authenticate.
The weakness was published 03/18/2003 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2003-1095 since 03/11/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
