A vulnerability has been found in McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 2.5.1 (Endpoint Management Software) and classified as very critical. Format string vulnerability in McAfee Security ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 2.5.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an HTTP GET request with a URI containing format strings.
The bug was discovered 05/01/2002. The weakness was released 03/17/2003 by Ollie Whitehouse and Andreas Junestam with @stake (Website). The advisory is available at atstake.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-0690 since 07/12/2002. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
